About Us

Do you love getting lost in the magic of making something? Maybe you've always wanted to sew your own clothes, try embroidery, or create a beautiful quilt, but you're not sure where or how to begin. Here at Mystic Thimble, we want to be part of your creative journey! It is our mission to support, foster, and join in cultivating a community of creators who believe in inclusive community, embracing creativity, and welcoming self-expression. Through sewing and crafting classes, community events, and open-studio sew sessions, we hope to provide a space where everyone feels welcome, encouraged, and empowered to create! We hope to provide the supplies, and when needed, the encouragement to help you meet your creative goals.

We believe that humans are meant to create. Sewing, upcycling, and mending your own clothes is not only resourceful, not only feels incredible, it provides an alternative to industrialized fast fashion. We believe in human-made art, natural self-expression, and the community that gathers in the creation of things.

We are first-time business owners, drawing from a deep well of business experience and passion for creating. Salina is a lifelong artist and sewist, and a "retired" classroom teacher with 14 years' experience teaching in the Northshore School District. Joe works in tech but is eager to explore new spaces. We dream of working together and creating something incredible for and with our community. We are excited for you to be part of this creative process!
